Elizabeth began working as the Open Space Aide with the Flagstaff Sustainability Program in October 2014. Her work focuses on open spaces throughout the City of Flagstaff, primarily Picture Canyon and Observatory Mesa. Elizabeth fosters relationships with organizations, develops volunteer opportunities, and manages recreation in these areas. Additionally, Elizabeth is also involved in the Community Agriculture Program and assists in the management of five community gardens throughout Flagstaff.
Elizabeth graduated summa cum laude from Northern Arizona University in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry. During her time in college, she served as the president of Xi Sigma Pi, the national forestry honor society, and as secretary of the Society of American Foresters. She has experience working with small non-profit land management organizations, as well as the United States Forest Service. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys seeing live music, cooking yummy food, and dancing with her room mates.
