Making the most efficient use of the water we have will delay having to find additional sources of water and increasing plant capacity to supply and treat the water. On an annualized basis, Flagstaff citizens use about 116 gallons per person per day. This is good, but it still adds up to a lot of water! Flagstaff citizens and visitors consume nearly three billion gallons of drinking water each year.

The City of Flagstaff is taking a number of significant strides in the effort to enhance water use efficiency. Reclaimed Water is now delivered to many areas of the City to provide for irrigation, as well as other uses.

Flagstaff Watering Schedule:

  • Addresses ending with an even number:

  • Landscape Watering is strictly prohibited between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, no use of irrigation systems on Monday is permitted
