Community Stewards Program

Help Keep Flagstaff Beautiful!

The City of Flagstaff relies on the willing assistance of hundreds of volunteers to assist with keeping our neighborhoods, trails, parks, and streets litter and graffiti free. The Flagstaff Sustainability Program offers programs for citizens to get involved in to make our city a better place to live.

Community Stewards Program

Are you interested in taking ownership in your community? The Community Stewards Program keeps a list of available trails, streets, and open spaces that you or your group may adopt for at least two years. We can also connect your group with a one-time community clean-up project.

Please reach out to our Volunteer and Event Coordinator, Maggie Twomey at 928-213-2144 or at .

In order to become a steward, please complete the application and the volunteer waiver form.
Email the forms to or drop them off at our office during business hours, 101 W Cherry Ave, 2nd Floor.
