The Energy Retrofits include two tiers of service that are available to Flagstaff residents
Tier I services might include installation of: carbon monoxide detectors, compact fluorescent light bulbs, high efficiency water fixtures, insulation of first five feet of hot water heater line, HVAC filter replacement, weather stripping and caulking. Educational tools and methods will be provided by trained and certified Energy Conservation Corps crews.
Tier II services might include the implementation of all Tier I services as well as: a comprehensive energy audit to identify the areas of your home that use the most energy, building envelope and duct repair to seal air leaks, carbon monoxide safety testing, furnace inspection and hot water heater insulation.
Paper applications are available at the following locations: City Hall, Flagstaff Public Libraries, Southside Community Association, Plaza Vieja Neighborhood Association and Sunnyside Neighborhood Association.
The Energy Retrofits will be available on a first come, first served basis. Income is not an eligibility requirement. Please note that fee for service is based on applicant’s household income.
Applicants must schedule an appointment with Sustainability Program stafff to present one of the forms of identification listed on the Legal US Residency Affidavit. Accepted applicants are required to sign an Applicant’s Authorization, Understanding and Agreement. Accepted applicants must schedule an interview with program staff to sign Agreement.
