Flagstaff Makes a Splash with the Children's Water Festival!

The Annual Children's Water Festival is held at Foxglenn City Park each September for all Flagstaff area fourth grade students and their teachers. The students rotate through interactive, hands-on activities from the AZ Project WET curriculum, exploring groundwater, watersheds, the water cycle, and local water conservation. This STEM-tastic day is a wonderful opportunity for students to engage directly with WATER - a precious local resource. The lessons and activities are taught by NAU student-teachers in a truly collaborative approach to teaching and learning!

This event is a unique collaboration of volunteers and experts from the NAU Department of Education, AZ Project WET, Willow Bend Environmental Center, the City of Flagstaff Water Conservation Program, and community members.
