Opening Show - April 6th, 5-8p at Firecreek Coffee Co
The theme for the art contest was "Celebrating Water on the Colorado Plateau". There were prizes in each category (youth and adult) plus an Audience Choice Award! Tyler Anthony, (shown below) with his piece "Our Water", won first place for the adult category and Syler Sommers of Coconino High School was our first place youth winner. Congratulations to all our contestants and thank you for helping us joyfully and artistically kick off Water Awareness Month 2018!
Art Submission Process
All art must be two-dimensional so that we can display it if it is selected. Please bring your art to the Water Conservation Program of the City of Flagstaff at 213 N Beaver Street by March 20th. You can also email submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org. One entry per person. Each art piece needs to include a short description of how the piece ties into the theme of celebrating water on the CO Plateau.
Students from the Coconino High School Advanced Art Class will judge and select art for display in Firecreek Coffee Company for the month of April 2018. The opening show will take place on First Friday - April 6th during ArtWalk. There will be an opportunity for the public to select the "Audience Choice Award" during this opening.
