BEING EXCUSED FROM SERVICE
You can be excused from jury service, but only for limited reasons. Jury service is a civic duty and is extremely important to our system of justice.
To be a juror in the state of Arizona, you must be at least 18 years old, must be a U.S. citizen, must reside in the proper jurisdiction, must not have been convicted of a felony, and must not be currently judged by a court to be mentally incompetent or insane.
To reply to a summons, please go to https://flagmcjury.az.gov, to complete your jury questionnaire, including asking to be excused from Jury Duty. If you do not meet the requirements above, including if you do not live within city limits, you may request to be excused by completing the questionnaire.
Parking space downtown is always scarce. You will be issued a parking pass that identifies you as a juror, which can be placed on your dashboard after you have checked in with the Court. You do not need to pay for parking.
For further questions regarding jury duty, including the need for reasonable accommodation, please leave a message for the Jury Specialist at (928) 774-1401 ext #115 or email at FMCJury@courts.az.gov
