Register for our upcoming training on Wednesday, May 20th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.

This training will be presented virtually. What is a Flagstaff Climate Ambassador? Climate Ambassadors are people with the tools to discuss climate change with their neighbors and inspire action in their communities.

Flagstaff Climate Ambassador Training

The training is a 3-hour workshop-style event that will train participants on how to discuss climate change in Flagstaff, the recently adopted Flagstaff Climate Action and Adaptation Plan, and how to engage in positive climate change conversations and actions. The training is for anyone in high school or older.

Training Goal

Ambassadors will leave the training with the knowledge, tools, and resources to discuss climate change and the Flagstaff Climate Action and Adaptation Plan with their communities and encourage climate action. By sharing with their communities and neighborhoods, Ambassadors will be directly contributing to positive climate action in Flagstaff and building on the momentum of the Climate Plan.

What will participants learn? Ambassadors will receive information and training materials on the following:

  • How climate is and will continue changing in Flagstaff (informed by historical and projected climate data).
  • How the new Flagstaff Climate Action and Adaptation Plan addresses current and projected climate change threats and impacts.
  • How the Flagstaff community can take action.

Why Register

Flagstaff's changing climate affects us all. Making sure our city and neighborhoods are resilient and sustainable takes climate action from everyone. Upon completing this training, participants will have the knowledge, tools, and resources to effectively discuss climate change and the Climate Plan with their communities and encourage climate action. By sharing with their communities and neighborhoods, Ambassadors will be directly contributing to positive climate action in Flagstaff and building on the momentum of the Climate Plan.
