The Land Development Code (Repealed - December 5, 2011) is the zoning ordinance for the City of Flagstaff, and is adopted as Title 10 of the City Code. It is essentially a “cookbook” of rules and regulations to guide all development within the City, as well as the day-to-day decisions made by City staff. The Land Development Code is a comprehensive document that includes a total of 16 major chapters.
These chapters establish:
The allowed use of property within the City
Standards for development, i.e., parking, landscaping, signs, outdoor lighting and natural resource protection (trees, steep slopes and flood plains), as well as design guidelines
Detailed procedures for review and administration, including procedures and review processes for zone changes, variances, amendments to the general plan, or the subdivision of land
