City ResidentsTrucks Unloading at Landfill

City of Flagstaff residents are able to have some dumping fees waived if they meet all the following criteria:

  • Residents must have 90-gallon trash service with the City of Flagstaff
  • Resident must show proof of trash service by providing a City of Flagstaff water bill with itemized list of charges that is less than 90 days old.
  • Resident must also demonstrate the water bill is theirs by providing identification and proof of address
    • If your Driver's License does not show a current address; another proof of address is required

Dumping fees cannot be waived if any of the following are true:

  • Proof of 90-gallon trash service is not provided
  • Load contains construction materials, wood waste, landscaping debris, or inert material (rock, concrete, dirt, etc.)
  • Load exceeds the 1 ton limit
  • Load originates from anywhere other than residents home (e.g. contract work)

Freon Evacuation for Household units2Free**
  1. So long as City resident pays for City Utilities/Solid Waste services.
  2. Proof is required. Acceptable proof is a current and printed City of Flagstaff water bill and a valid ID to match.
    • If you live in a residence such as an apartment complex and utilities are included, evacuation fees are applicable b/c you are not directly paying for City services.
    • If you receive paperless city billing/online city billing, you must print out your online City of Flagstaff water bill or have a device that can show your water bill and bring it with you, otherwise you will be charged applicable evacuation fees.
  3. Evacuation fees are applicable if current City of Flagstaff water bill and ID are not given at time of transaction.

Household units are household refrigerators, household freezers and small household AC units containing less than 5 pounds of refrigerant. Units must be free and clear of debris / food and taped / tied shut where applicable.
Hotel/Motel window AC units are approximately 3 to 4 feet in length by 1.5 feet high by 1.5 feet in height and fit in windows only.
4If you have a unit evacuated elsewhere (not at the Landfill), you must submit an Appliance disposal form (PDF)if you intend on disposing of the unit for metal recycling at the Landfill.

County Residents / Non-City Residents

Coconino County residents and Flagstaff residents that do not pay for City of Flagstaff Water and Refuse Services will be charged the following fees to use the landfill:
