The purpose of the presentation is to hear from diverse groups in the Flagstaff Community regarding discriminatory issues they are facing, such as access to employment, housing, education and public accommodation. Representatives will be present from the Christian, Native American, Hispanic, African American, Gay and Lesbian and Senior Citizen communities. The educational presentations, to be held from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Gardner Auditorium at the W.A. Franke College of Business (Northern Arizona University) and are open to the public. You are welcome to bring a brown-bag lunch, since there will be no lunch break.
Public Forums will be held at a later date for comments concerning the Inclusive Community Initiative that was discussed at the City Council Work Session on Monday, August 4th. The date and time of the forums, which are yet to be determined, will be published on the City’s website at www.flagstaff.az.gov and in the Arizona Daily Sun. An email address will also be available to gather comments concerning the initiative from those that may not be able to attend. Please check the City’s website for upcoming information regarding these open forums.
