Express Yourself in Your Environment, a juried art contest for high school students attending Flagstaff area high schools, will challenge students to think about their personal impact on the local environment. A call for artwork entries is issued to students, asking them to express their thoughts through artwork, video, photography, painting, and drawing, with prizes going to the most creative, innovative, and conscious submissions.
The City of Flagstaff and the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality are partnering to present this art contest. Artwork will be on display and judged by a jury of local artists at the First Friday ArtWalk on October 3rd at the Old Town Shops in Historic Downtown Flagstaff at the corner of Birch and Leroux.

Previously created are pieces that meet contest's criteria are eligible for submission. Entries are due September 26, 2008 by 5pm.
