[ARCHIVED] Utility Relocation work begins this week on Huntington Drive

Utility relocation work is expected to continue intermittently for the next four to five weeks.

Beginning April 21, 2008 there will be full road reconstruction of Huntington Drive from Bronco Way to Enterprise Road. The public can expect lane directions and orientations to change periodically throughout the duration of construction, which is anticipated to last until October 2008. The City of Flagstaff will continue to notify the public in advance of planned lane changes and road closures. Please drive with caution in the area, or use alternates routes of Lucky Lane to the south, or Route 66 to the north. Signs and traffic control personnel will be set up to direct traffic as needed.

The Huntington Drive Phase II Improvements will continue work that started with Phase I and the Fourth Street Project to the east. Phase II involves installing an underground storm drain system, adding sidewalk, parkway, and landscaping, and fully reconstructing Huntington Drive from Enterprise Road to Bronco Way.

For more information on the roadway construction, contact City of Flagstaff Project Manager Christine Cameron at 928-226-4863.
