We need an event like “Bike to Work Week”, but seasonal pre-winter in Fall To encourage: Bike riding lumination rules and safety and winter bike comute

It should operate consistant to how “Bike to Work” has been. Will create an opportunity to: Educate Bike riders and motorist on the proper bike lumination requirements and winter safety: clothes reflectivity and warmth. Encourage year around bike and alternative to vehicle usage, educate the public of bike trail and FUTS snow clearing challenges and concerns. Educate to winter rider what steps to follow encase they come across a homeless person suffering in the cold, sleep, or past out. Update residents on FUTS and Bike infrastructure schedules, plans, and opportunities. Gain recognition as best Winter bike towns in North America according to Outside mag. Bring cold weather tourist into town who don’t ski. Assist in making a share bike program year-around. Cuts traffic congestion. Etc.

The great idea is that of the city council. I applaud the decision to continue the mask mandate despite the governor's order to make such mandates void. The governor originally denied his right to issue a statewide mandate but now sees a right to outlaw them. He is inconsistent and acting in opposition to public health guidelines. Keep up the good work here.
