What about storing vehicles that are not being used but don’t fit into the “junked” definition?
An “inoperative vehicle” is any vehicle that lacks current registration, lacks two or more wheels, or lacks any component that makes the vehicle legal for use on roadways. If a property has an inoperative vehicle in view to the public, the owner could be in violation of City Zoning Code. No more than one unregistered or inoperative vehicle can be stored on residentially zoned property. The vehicle cannot be stored within the front yard setback and must be covered with a commercially manufactured car cover (No tarps). To report a junked/abandoned vehicle, contact Community Code Compliance at (928) 213-2104
