Indigenous Commission Meeting

Housing Commission - Nov/Dec Combined Meeting

The Housing Commission serves as an advisory board to City Council, makes recommendations with respect to housing policies, needs, and programs in Flagstaff, and furnishes the Council with information through the Housing Director.

Transportation Commission

The Transportation Commission (TC) consists of seven voting members (a representative from the Flagstaff Unified School District, NAIPTA and five citizens) and two non-voting members (City Traffic Engineer and a Police Department representative). The Transportation Commission reviews requests for changes in traffic regulations and formulates and recommends traffic-related policies and ordinances to the Council.

Bicycle Advisory Committee Meeting

Flagstaff's Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) is a group of seven citizens who are appointed by and report to the City's Transportation Commission on issues related to planning for and accommodation of bicycles.

Water Rate Study Informational Meeting

The City of Flagstaff is hosting a virtual informational meeting about the current drinking water, wastewater, and reclaimed water rate study. Members of the public are invited to attend to learn more about the rate study and to ask questions. The meeting will consist of an informational presentation, followed by time for questions and answers. The City of Flagstaff is conducting this rate study to evaluate the rates and fees community members pay for drinking water, wastewater, and reclaimed water services to determine whether any adjustments are needed. The City’s goal is to continue providing clean, safe drinking water and sanitary wastewater services for the community of Flagstaff.

Beautification & Public Art Commission Meeting

The Beautification and Public Art Commission (BPAC) consists of seven citizens of varying backgrounds including professionals in design, artists, and citizens at large, and recommends expenditures from the BBB beautification fund and public art portion of the arts and science fund (BBB Tax Revenues). It studies and recommends community beautification projects including public art, streetscape beautification, gateways, landscaping and irrigation, neighborhood-initiated projects, property acquisition for beautification and/or public art and neighborhood-initiated projects, the purchase and installation of public art projects within beautification projects and facilities and signs.

Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting

The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of seven citizen members, and serves as an advisory board to the Council on matters relating to the growth and physical development of the City. The commission also conducts hearings on amendments to the Zoning Map, tentative subdivision plats, and Development Review Board appeals.

Airport Commission Meeting

The Airport Commission consists of seven citizens, and is responsible for reviewing and reporting to the Council on the development of the Airpark and on matters affecting the operation and efficiency of the airport, using the Airport Master Plan as a guide.

Pedestrian Advisory Committee Meeting

Flagstaff's Pedestrian Advisory Committee (PAC) is a group of seven citizens who are appointed by and report to the City's Transportation Commission on issues related to planning for and accommodation of pedestrians.

Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting

The Flagstaff Parks and Recreation Commission consists of seven citizens, and makes recommendations to the Council regarding City parks and recreational programs, the annual budget and capital improvements for the Parks and Recreation Departments within the PROSE Division.

Heritage Preservation Commission Meeting

The Heritage Preservation Commission consists of seven citizens: At least two (2) members must be professionals in the areas of architecture, history, architectural history, planning, or archaeology, at least two (2) members shall be owners of locally designated historic properties or properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and at least three (3) members shall be from the general community. The Commission advises the City Council on all matters relating to historic properties, funding of cultural resources, and reviews development projects in accordance with the City Zoning Code provisions for Cultural Resources.

Flagstaff Housing Authority Meeting

The Flagstaff Housing Authority consists of the Mayor and six citizens and oversees the functions of the Housing Authority. One seat is set aside for a participant in the Section 8 or Low Income Public Housing program. The Authority implements the public housing programs. The Flagstaff Housing Authority assists low-income families with safe, decent, and affordable housing opportunities as families strive to improve the quality of their lives.

Water Commission Meeting

The Water Commission consists of seven citizens and a representative from the Planning and Zoning Commission. It reviews extensions of the water and sewer collection systems, treatment and use of water furnished by the City, treatment and disposal of the City's sewage system effluent, and water/sewer rates.

Commission on Inclusion and Adaptive Living Meeting

The Commission on Inclusion and Adaptive Living consists of seven citizens, and serves the disabled community in Flagstaff. The commission's goals are to expand educational opportunities, improve access to housing, buildings, and transportation, have greater participation in recreational, social, and cultural activities, encourage greater opportunity for employment and expand and strengthen rehabilitative programs and facilities.

The Tourism Commission consists of seven citizens. The mission of the Tourism Commission is to develop, promote, and maintain Flagstaff as a year-round destination with professional visitor services that will benefit the community economically, environmentally, and socially.
