  3. Julian's Birthday Crochet-A-Thon Fundraiser to Fight Homelessness & Hunger

    Local girl donates her 13th birthday to the homeless and hungry in Flagstaff Julian Wallace is using her birthday party to fight homelessness and hunger in her hometown. In lieu of a more traditional party and presents, she wants to celebrate with an innovative fundraiser. Julian loves to crochet and knit and she is calling on compassionate knitters and crocheters throughout the Flagstaff community to join her for a crochet-a-thon! The Flagstaff Freethinkers, with the help of KickStand Kafe’ are working with Julian to benefit the Flagstaff Family Food Center Food Bank and Kitchen (formally the Flagstaff Family Food Center before they merged with the food bank) and Flagstaff Shelter Services. Julian is inviting the whole community of Flagstaff to come knit and crochet with her at KickStand on Saturday September 28th. The event at starts at 12-noon and continues until the last knitter falls out of his or her chair. We need your help to raise money for every hour spent knit
