Online survey - Schultz Creek area trailhead and access planning

Formatted HTML message

The City is seeking the community’s help in developing a plan for trailheads and access in the Schultz Creek area – please take a few moments to complete this online survey: https://www.opentownhall.com/portals/227/Issue_6991

The City owns a 20-acre parcel located just east of the intersection of Schultz Pass Road and Elden Lookout Road.  The City Council has rezoned this parcel to Public Open Space, and has directed staff to consider use of the parcel for a trailhead.  The trailhead would provide access to the network of recreational trails in the area, and could potentially replace the existing formal USFS trailhead located to the north along Schultz Pass Road, as well as the informal trailhead at the Y.

The results of the survey will help the City plan for management of the City’s 20-acre parcel as a potential trailhead, and improve non-motorized access to the area via planned FUTS trails.

Two public open houses are also planned:

Wednesday, February 27, 2019
5:30 to 7:30 pm
Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy
3401 North Fort Valley Road

Saturday, March 2, 2019
12:00 noon to 2:00 pm
Hal Jensen Recreation Center
2403 North Izabel Street

We highly value your feedback and appreciate your opinion.  Thank you for your interest in helping guide the City of Flagstaff Open Space planning process for the Schultz Creek area!
